Anna Betbeze was born in 1980 and raised in columbus, ga. she received her bfa from the university of georgia in 2003 and her mfa from yale university school of art in 2006. she lives and works in new york, ny.
She held her first solo show, moss garden, at Kate Werble gallery, new york, ny, in february 2011. she has subsequently held four solo exhibitions: wormholes, françois ghebaly gallery, los angeles, ca (2012); anna betbeze: new work, massachusetts museum of contemporary art, north adams, ma (2012); moons, lüttgenmeijer, berlin, de (2012); and most recently at kate werble gallery, new york, ny in fall 2013.

She is the recipient of the 2013 - 2014 harold m. english/jacob h. lazarus – metropolitan museum of art rome prize.
